Nostalgic for the events that used to be, before Tringo/Slingo/Quintzee/DaSexyAV dance contests?

Here's my ambitious new event schedule, due to start this Sunday. All events will be held either in Derwent or Windermere, easily reachable from the Waterhead telehub.

All at 7:00 p.m. game time for now, but if there is sufficient demand from those in other time zones, I can schedule earlier on Sun, Mon or Tues.

Mondays: Trivia - Game Night with Lisse
Tuesdays: Beginning Building - Make a Coffee Table with Lisse
Wednesdays: Primtionary - Game Night with Lisse
Thursdays: Land 101 - Class with Lisse

Texturing Contest - Game Night with Lisse
Fancy yourself a dab hand with the texturing window? Come and compete in our contest where you will have 45 minutes to texture the supplied object, kept secret until the event starts! Use library textures, or your own collection - everyone from newbies to the experts will enjoy this event.

Prizes:
1st place - 50% of the pot
2nd place - 30% of the pot
3rd place - 20% of the pot.

Pot starts at L$50 - donations welcomed!

Primtionary - Game Night with Lisse
Pictionary with prims! Come and join the fun as our host gives out easy, medium, hard or EVIL words for contestents to build. First audience member to guess the word correctly gets to build next!

Prizes:
L$10 for each correctly guessed word for as long as the pot holds out - donations welcomed!

Trivia - Game Night with Lisse
Basic, original no-frills trivia contest. Come and show off your knowledge (and speed typing skills) by answering 25 questions on 5 different surprise topics. Difficulty ranges from easy to extremely hard.

Prizes:
L$5 for each correct question. Remainder of the pot to the person with the most correct answers at the end - donations welcomed!

Land 101 - Instructor Class with Lisse

Are you considering land ownership, but confused by all the options? Do you want to know the best way to move up from your First Land lot? Are you wondering how to tell what size of lot you need for a project?

Before you part with insane amounts of L$s or US$s, attend this class to make sure you avoid the rip-offs and get the best bang for your buck!

Everyone in Second Life should be able to own the perfect home - we aim to help you get there.

Beginning Building - Make a Coffee Table with Lisse

This class is for complete beginners who have admired the creations of others, but been scared to open up that Create Object window for themselves. By the end of the event, you will have walked through the steps necessary to make your own 2-prim art deco, textured coffee table and be ready to continue exploring the build tools on your own.

As an introduction to SL economics, students are encouraged to set their tables for sale for a nominal fee at the end of the event for fellow students to buy. Tables will remain on sale for 24 hours after class ends.

Show & Tell - Contest Night with Lisse

Have you made something cool and unusual that you'd like to share with your fellow residents? Whether you're brand-new in Second Life, or an old hand, you're welcome to join our Show & Tell where you'll have 5 minutes to show off your creation. The winners will be chosen by a vote at the end.
